The waning days of Summer and early Fall are the best times for Engagement Sessions for couples who are planning their Weddings during the off-season. And this is the case with Kelly and Josh.
Kelly will be the 4th of four siblings in the Cook Family that I've photographed when she and Josh tie the knot on Christmas Eve. She asked if they could have their Engagement pictures done on the beech at Grand Haven. I suppose that one of the benefits of having a long-standing relationship with your Photographer is that he will more aptly agree to using his day off for your benefit! (lol)
In addition to some of the more expected images, I also created some super-cool, more abstract images which are more out of the ordinary - and which satisfy the creative bent that I, as a Photographer, have. Here they are!
What a cute couple!
It's always great to have something different! Too cool....
I'm really looking forward to Kelly and Josh's June Wedding next year! It's going to be fun!
Spring is here, and with Spring comes ... Wedding Season!
The end of April marks the official kick-off of the Wedding Season for Robert Charles Photography. (You Southerners have to realize that the temps are still only in the mid-30's as I write!) But what do you do when our featured couple has requested outdoor Engagement Photography and the ground is still ... white?
I suggested we make use of our city landmark - The State Capitol - and do something a little light-hearted. Carolyn and Brent were quickly "on board", so we set a Saturday date (around noon), warmed the car up and headed downtown.
Anytime we get the "green light" to do something different and "color outside the lines", we're usually pleasantly rewarded. Here is the image they chose for display and our "Animated Images!*" from that Engagement session in March.
Robert Charles Photography offers Engagement Photography in most of our Packages. Frequently we'll find ourselves outside during the Spring through Fall seasons, creating images which will last a lifetime. The resulting images are then enlarged and eventually displayed on a 5' floor-standing easel at the Reception. But what do we do in February - with the temps registering a frigid 15 degrees outside?
We offer indoor, Location photography!
Last week, when Jonathan and Catrice asked if we could provide them with images which they could use when contacting friends and relatives via email for their upcoming August wedding, I mentioned that we would be photographing a Winter Homecoming Banquet the following Saturday and we would be happy to photograph them as well.
Sadly, it seems that fewer and fewer photographers are able to provide much more than a "point and shoot" style of photography indoors today. We are pleased to offer True Studio-Quality Photography on Location on your Wedding Day, available in most Packages for that extra Classic, Elegant look - or when the weather is not cooperating.
Robert Charles Photography provides Classic, Timeless, Elegant Wedding Photography, by combining the craftsmanship found in Traditional styles, mixed with the best in modern Photojournalism. Unlimited time and locations for those seeking to preserve their memories for years to come.
Package pricing starts at just $995 for our Introductory Package. Our Signature Package is an investment of just over $3,000, including multiple Albums, Wall Portraits, numerous enlargements - and more!
